I finally finished exploration 9. Have to admit I enjoyed doing this whole assignment more than I thought I would. I enjoyed reading other people's blogs and seeing how very creative they are. Surprisingly, the part I have been using the most is my personal delicious bookmark; something I wouldn't have known about if I had never done this Web 2.0 Exploration. Hopefully, I can keep up with new things as they come up.

Finished Exploration 8. Set up a Delicious account for myself to remember all the tantalizing quilting sites that I never have enough time to look at! Our small Info staff is planning to set up a delicious account so we can remember various sites that we use, but not very frequently. Should be great once it gets going.

Finished exploration 7: Wonderful World of Wikis. Enjoyed looking at the ALA wiki; lots and lots of info; probably still useful even after the conference, especially if you were job-hunting! The Library Success: A Best Practices Wiki is overwhelming! Lots of info, probably very good if you are looking for a specific topic. Even before I got to this part of the assignment, I was enjoying the advantages of wikis, starting way back with Wikipedia (let's be honest, we have all used it at one time or another!) Currently we all follow the staff wikis to know what's going on with LRP, etc. I like the idea of an online community WIKI, but don't know if librarians have enough time to give that kind of intense service to their local area. Would be a good place to post information about your library, if you found one already made, though.

Interesting thing happened when I signed up for Twitter: some people could "find" me and some got the message that this person does not exist!!! Severe blow to my self confidence, as I am pretty sure that I do exist.

Also finished exploration 6. Created a document using Zoho Writer, and sent it to 2 co-workers, where it ended up in their junk mail. One read it; one deleted w/out reading!! It is easy to use, but I think somewhat beyond the capabilities of most of the patrons I deal with on a day-to-day basis.

Am feeling proud of having fininshed two more segments of the assignment. Getting more RSS feeds in my yahoo account than I have time to read! More enjoyable to me is LibraryThing; fun to see that other people are enjoying YA titles that I liked, too.
